Our client wanted a retreat from urban San Francisco life where their family of five could relax enveloped in nature. In collaboration with architects Charlie Barnett & Associates, our design integrates a peaceful color palette, architectural openness, and custom American Elm furniture pieces with contemporary titanium hardware that we designed. The home's aesthetic is minimal, and we carefully considered every detail. We brought in a custom-woven Nepalese rug for the living room and a Cassina table for the dining room. In a global first, we convinced the Italian designer to deliver the table’s sculptural base unfinished so we could hand-stain the wood to perfectly layer into our palette. The mindfully curated home allows the family to focus on being together in their gardens, Bocce ball court, or nearby hiking trails.
